Caroline Thompson

Caroline Thompson is an American novelist, screenwriter, film director, and producer. Though she is best known for having written the screenplays for Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, she has had more than a dozen movies made, including Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, The Secret Garden, City of Ember and The Addams Family. She wrote and also directed Black Beauty, Buddy and Snow White: The Fairest of Them All. Her work has been honored with numerous awards. In 2011, she was the first woman to receive the Austin Film Festival’s Distinguished Screenwriter award.

In recent years, she has run hard after her lifelong dream of learning to oil paint. Caroline lives in the Santa Barbara region with her husband, film producer Steve Nicolaides, and their dog, Tucci.

Nancy Taliaferro

Born in Baltimore, Nancy Taliaferro is the daughter and granddaughter of painters. She studied classical painting techniques from an early age at The Shuler School of Fine Art. She continued her studies at the Maryland Institute of Art, and received her BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art

For decades, Nancy was a top illustrator of books, gift products, home decor and greeting cards for many companies, including Papyrus, Portal and Amcal. She later transitioned into a full-time focus on fine art. Commissions and private collectors are her primary focus.
